Design Story
The reason why I used a butterfly as the main object was because the butterfly is a symbol of migrants.
Like some movie posters with the main character's enlarged face, I emphasized butterfly to create strong impact to give a message that we need to face the problems of this multicultural era and try look more carefully to improve.
The blurred triangles are butterflies.
Triangles are stand for meaning of "different", and also "prism" in this work.
When the light pass triangles, it makes rainbow which is beautiful, with all colors.

나비를 사용한 이유: 나비는 오랜시간 이민자를 상징하는 심볼이었습니다.

마치 영화 포스터 속 배우의 얼굴이 확대된 것 처럼, 나비를 크게 강조하여 구성한 이유는, 다문화시대에 문착한 문제점들을 더 자세히 보고
개선해야 한다는 메세지를 나타냅니다.

포스터 속 흐린 삼각형은 곧 나비입니다. "다름"을 상징하며, 동시에 "프리즘"의 의미를 부여하였습니다. 어둠 속 삼각형에 빛이 가 닿으면
어느새 아름다운 무지개를 만들어냅니다. 무지개는 곧 다양함, 다문화, 평등, 존중 등을 나타내는 색입니다.

Design Story
The butterfly symbolizes immigrants. The triangle is a butterfly and also symbolizes "different".
Our society tends to have antipathy to a few different from many. I placed the triangle on the butterfly to show the fact that immigrants are "different" instantly creates the uncomfortable feelings and masks their real identity.
Overall, the composition and symbolic meanings are the same with the previous poster, but this poster was to make their purpose more clear. Yellow is a symbolic color that has bright, hopeful and positive message, but also indicates warning. I thought the purpose of conference was to review on issues related to immigration through humanistic discourses, and to move forward in a right direction.

Design Story
나비는 이민자를 상징합니다. 삼각형은 곧 나비이며, "다름"을 상징합니다.
다수와 다른 소수는 반감을 일으키는 사회입니다. 이민자들이 다수의 사람들과 "다르다"는 사실은 막연히 그들의 진짜 모습을 가리고 반감을 불러일으킨다는 것을 표현하기 위해 나비 위로 삼각형을 배치했습니다.
전체적으로 지난 학술대회 포스터에서 사용한 구조와 상징적 의미들은 동일하게 가져가되, 배경 색의 반전과 특정 색을 강조하여 학술대회의 목적을 더 분명히하고자 하였습니다. 노란색은 밝고 희망찬, 긍정적인 메세지를 가지고 있음과 동시에 경고를 나타내기도 하는 상징적 색입니다. 본 학술대회의 목적은 이민과 관련된 문제들을 인문학적 토론을 통해 재조명하고, 긍정적인 방향으로 나아가기 위함이라고 생각했습니다.
